Carnaval.
It was Saturday, the first day of carnival. Everybody was looking forward for the days to come. Saturday afternoon I went to watch the parade in Losser with some friends. It was very nice and we knew quite some people that were participating in the parade. The parade took a long time and there were a lot of cars. After the parade we went home. After that some friends came to my house to prepare for the night. We agreed that we would go to the party tent in Losser at 7 at night. So, at 7 o’clock, all friends had gathered at my house and we cycled to the party tent. When we arrived at the tent it was already quite busy. Happily we did not have to stand in line. It was very enjoyable and everybody joined the dancing. At 1 o’clock the party ended. Than we cycled home, some of my friend stayed at my house to sleep over.
Sunday we went to see the parade in Gronau. We went home a bit earlier because it was very cold. After that we ate something and prepared for the night again. At 7 all friends gathered at my house again and we all went to Kothman in Oldenzaal. At 8 o’clock we arrived there and it was already very busy. The party was very nice and lasted until 3 o’clock. At three we went home where we arrived at four. Some friends stayed over again and we finally went to sleep at five. After waking up my friends went home and I started making homework. At night I had to play in the orchestra and than I went to bed. I was very tired.

Holidays
The holidays started. I started working on my room because I wanted to finish it during the holidays. Saturday, the first day of the holiday, I have been busy with my room the whole day. My mother and farther helped me. Most of the painting had to be done again, so I started painting it all again. Sunday I painted again and Sunday night I finished it all. Than I only had to clean everything and decorate the room. My sisters’ room had been painted too and now we had to start moving all kind of things. We also had to clean the floor as a lot of paint had fallen on the floor. Tuesday we continued cleaning and than we finished the work. The room turned out very beautifully. Now we had to go and get some new things as well because I did not have anything to match the color of the wall paint. Tuesday we went to the Ikea. My friend accompanied us. We found a nice cupboard and saw some other things as well. I got some new small lamps and a beautiful mirror. I did not have a quilt cover that matched my wall paint either and got one of these too. It was very nice at the Ikea and after buying all the stuff we needed we went home.At night I went home with a friend of mine. I was going to sleep over that night. It was very nice but we had to go to sleep very early as Wednesday morning we were going to Amsterdam. Wednesday the alarm rings at seven thirty. We let the dog out and at 8:30 we all sat in the car to travel to Amsterdam. The neighbor of my friend had to go to Amsterdam for her work and we were allowed to come along. At 10:30 we arrived in Amsterdam and went shopping. We walked to the market, along the canals and of course visited the shops. We also had to buy a present for a friend of ours. We bought her a nice watch and a bracelet. At a quarter past four we went back home. At the way back we stopped to eat something at the Mc Donald’s. We arrived back home around a quarter to seven. It was a very successful day but at night we were also very tired. Thursday I made some homework I felt a bit sick that day. At night I did have to attend a party as well. The party started at 8:30 and I cycled there with some friends. It was very nice. We talked about all kind of things and at 1 at night we played ‘sing star’. That was really funny. Every body sang along and it was a nice day. That night a friend came to sleep over at my house. We went home around a quarter to two. We arrived home at 2:30 and went to sleep. Friday we slept in for a long time. After that we played wii. We went out for a moment to buy a present for a friend.

midweek from 10 to 13 Febraury
Tuesday afternoon I make a cover for a report. IT took me around 2.5 hours. I always like it to make a nice cover that is why it takes me so long as well. After that I went to look at the hand ball training. Wednesday I had a birthday. IT was nice and we talked about all kind of things. At night my mother, father and me had a 10 minute talk at school. After that we watched television. There was a nice movie on ‘step-up’. When the movie ended I went to sleep.
Thursday I helped a friend with a report. She still had to make some things and I helped her with that. It was a nice report to make and we finished it pretty quickly. After that we painted another p[art of my room. It was nice.
Friday the 13th was the first day of my holiday. I am not going anywhere which I regret but the holiday is going to be nice anyway. After getting out of school we waited for a friend who was still having classes. After she was free as well we cycled home together. At home I continued painting my bedroom. It took me a quite some time. At night I had to go to street dance but I did not go. I just set on the couch to look television instead.

To the doctor and hospital
Monday I had to go to the doctor who told me to go to the hospital immediately to make an x-ray of my finger. The doctor thought it was broken. So my mother and I went to the hospital. There they had to make two x-rays of my finger. The women who took the x-rays also though the finger was broken but she could not see anything on the x-ray. She sent the x-rays to another hospital because she knew something was wrong with my finger. She said I would get the results on Wednesday. I had to go to the sports physiotherapist first though. Monday night we went to the physiotherapist and he also thought it was broken. He felt my finger and that hurt very much. After doing that he said that the muscles and tendons were damaged and that some of the veins had snapped. That was why my finger looked so thick and blue. He taped my finger and said that I could not train for hand ball the following week and during the holiday. I minded very much because I like playing hand ball very much. I had to keep my fingers taped for at least a week but that could be longer as well. It is not sure yet when I can play hand ball again and I still would have to play with a taped finger for several weeks and keep it quiet. Wednesday I was supposed to get the results from the x-rays but they still did not have them. On Thursday they still did not have the results. Friday my mother called the hospital and they told her that they could not see anything on the x-rays either. I was very happy about that.
weekend 6,7 and 8 February
Friday I only had to go to school for 1 four of gymnastics. I could sleep in nicely because I only had to start at one. After that I went home to pick a color for my bedroom. That was difficult. I liked many colors but I had to choose one. The color I selected was lilac/purple, silver and anthracite. After selecting the colors I went with my mother to the hairdresser. After coming back from the hairdresser we went to eat something and then I went to street dance classes. At night I spend some time at the computer and watched television.
Saturday morning I went to get some paint with my mother and sister for our bedrooms. We had to get many buckets full of paint. All paint had to be mixed which took a while. Around noon I went into town with some girlfriends to buy a present for a friend. We could not find a lot of nice stuff and we didn’t feel like walking through town anymore. That is why we left a bit earlier and went to the house of one of the friends. There we talked a bit and put up nail polish. After doing that I cycled home with another fiend. At night we had a party. A friend came to get me from home and together we cycled to the party. It was a very nice party. It was very cozy and there were many nice friends. Around eleven thirty we went to town to the ‘Revelation’, a disco. When we arrived there they told us that only people over 16 years old could enter and many of us where only 15 years old. Some people just entered and others had to show their ID. Several friends and I were not allowed in. Later I entered anyway using a friends ID who was almost 16. It was very nice. We only left around a quarter to four as we had to cycle together with the brother of a friend. We were not allowed to go by ourselves. We cycled very fast because we were very tired. Around four thirty we were at home and went to bed quickly. We still chatted a little bit and went to sleep around 5:30.
In the morning we had to get up at 9:45 for a hand ball match. We put on our sports clothing and cycled to the sports hall. We had to be there at 11 and the game started at 11:45. After a warming up and some throwing with the ball the game started. It was a nice game but my finger bordered me very much. Two weeks ago it was hit by a ball. I could not continue playing and the coach and sports physiotherapist told me to go to the hospital but I did not want to. We won with 13 - 18

4 and 5 February
Wednesday, 4th of February was my fathers birthday. We bought a mobile phone, a hammer and a screwdriver for him. The party was wary nice. Many people came to visit from early in the morning until late at night. It was an awesome day. Thursday I didn’t do much. After coming back from school I finished taking of the wall paper in my bedroom as I was going to change bedrooms with my sister. Mine was much smaller and my sisters much bigger. She also gets the playroom now. After that I had hand ball training and after that we all showered. At night I watched television and went to bed.

Week 5
Week 5
Thursday afternoon I went to get some wallpaper. I get a new room and wanted to have new wallpaper with a nice color which my parents agreed to. Thursday night I had a handball training and after that I stayed with a friend to sleep over. First we watched the movie ‘Sindney White’ which was a nice movie. After the movie we went to sleep. Friday we had to go to school but all of us had the first two hours off. We prepared ourselves and ate something. The third hour I had English classes and after that an other hour of free time. We all went to town. I wanted to buy some shoes but could not find a nice pair. It was fun being in town anyway. We had to be back at school for gym classes at 1 o’clock. We did some dancing and hit ball. After that I was free and a friend visited me at home. First we ate some hot sandwiches and than removed some wallpaper. When we finished I went to street dance classes. After that my friends and I went to the Hogeboekel were we helped making a carnival car. It was nice but also very cold. We had to paper everything and went home around eleven thirty. Saturday morning I helped the children of the junior handball team. Their trainer was pregnant and we made a present for her. The children all had to paint their hands and push it on paper to leave their ‘hand’ prints. When I came home I went to make homework and played wii with my little sister.
